The State Pharmaceuticals and Health Technologies Agency (AGEMED), as regulator for all pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, given the public health emergency and the alarming expansion of the COVID -19 virus worldwide, and above all given the presence of confirmed cases in Bolivia, has taken the following measures.
Given the price hikes, market manipulation and speculation involving pharmaceuticals, AGEMED, in Circular MS/AGEMED/CR/13/2020 of March 11, 2020, advises the general population that in the event of certifiable evidence of such acts which can give rise to unrest or social upheaval, the violators shall be penalized and brought before the pertinent authorities. In Circular MS/AGEMED/CR/14/2020 of March 11, 2020, it advises all pharmaceutical companies, national industrial laboratories, importers and distributors of medications recognized by Law, of the prioritization of Health Registry and Certification application processing for products for coronavirus prevention, control and care.
