As an attempt to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Paraguayan territory, the Paraguayan immigration authority (Direccion General de Migraciones) ordered a temporary border lockdown for fifteen days starting on March 16th.
Regarding the imposed measure, foreign citizens who are not Paraguayan residents cannot enter Paraguayan territory.
However, the following can enter the country: Paraguayan citizens, foreign citizens who are Paraguayan residents, members of diplomatic corps, and members of international organizations that have an authorization to enter the country (i.e.: officials from the UN, the OAS or MERCOSUR).
It must be considered that people entering Paraguayan territory, regardless of where they are from, must remain isolated in their houses or hotels for 14 days.
