In light of the Health Emergency declared by the Executive Branch and the measures adopted to mitigate COVID-19 expansion, on March 23 the Central Bank of Uruguay (BCU) issued Communication No. 2020/043, resolving:
- To postpone for 30 days the submission of information on the economic year ended December 31, 2019 whose deadlines fall in the months of March through May 2020, per the articles:
- 521, 522, 523, 605, 605.1, 636 and 656 of the Compendium of Financial System Regulation and Control Rules (RNRCSF).
- 148 and 164.1 of the Compendium of Retirement Fund Rules (RNCFP).
- 138 of the Compendium of Insurance and Reinsurance Rules (RNSR).
- 275, 276, 292, 293, 310.3, 314, 315, 316, 332, 339, 342 and 344 of the Compendium of Securities Market Rules (RNMV).
- To postpone for 30 days the submission of information by issuers of publicly offered securities and companies with government participation whose deadlines fall in the months from March to May 2020, pursuant to articles 260 and 272 of RNMV.
- To postpone publication on each institution’s website of the following reports closed at December 31, 2019:
- For 30 days the annual corporate governance report established in articles: 477 of RNRCSF, 143.1.1 of RNCFP and 110.3 of RNSR.
- For 60 days the report on capital, risk management and other prudential requirements as established in article 477.1 of RNRCSF.
- Suspend submission of information on the capital self-evaluation process at December 31, 2019, pursuant to article 582.6 of RNRCSF.
