FERRERE advised the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest), an affiliate of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), on financing of USD 45,000,000 to the recognized local retailer Ta-Ta SA.
The financing comprises a 10-year principal loan of USD 35,000,000, and an equity investment of USD 10,000,000.
The IDB’s purpose is to support the expansion, modernization and improvement of the logistics capacity of Ta-Ta, as it digitalizes its operations, consolidating business growth and omni-channel offering of its products.
This investment and capital financing are linked to Ta-Ta’s goal of adapting to the environmental, social and corporate governance factors (ESG) supported and promoted by IDB Investment. These factors were key in the negotiations, as well as the participation of the FERRERE ESG practice group, which advised BID Invest on channeling its principles via the documentation.
The FERRERE work on this transaction was led by the partners Manuel Lecuona and Sebastián Ramos, along with as a broad team of practitioners: Alejandra García, Isabel Laventure, Martín Pesce, Cecilia Alberti, Giselle Cardoso, Carolina Piacenza, María Clara Porro, Ana Laura Oliveros, Stella Weng, Lucía Rosso, Micaela Clavijo, Macarena Saavedra and Sofía Vidal.
