FERRERE advised Minsait Payments, the payment processing arm of the international consultant Indra, on the acquisition of the Uruguayan company Totalnet (Compañía Uruguaya de Medios de Procesamiento S.A.), which has over 25 years’ experience in the market and is the largest credit and debit card payments processor in the country.
FERRERE’s advice on this transaction, which closed at the end of May and marked Minsait’s landing in Uruguay, included negotiation of the transaction documents and support on complying with Uruguay’s regulatory and competition requirements.
