A broad FERRERE team advised Riverwood Capital on its multi-million dollar investment in the Argentine digital payments company, Geopagos.
The transaction, which closed at the beginning of August was the first round of Geopagos risk capital financing. The funds will be used to grow its operations in Latin America (currently 15 countries), as well as to expand its digital products portfolio.
Geopagos provides digital banking solutions to financial institutions, including BBVA, Itaú and Santander. Annually, it processes approximately 150 million digital transactions, and USD 5 billion in digital payments.
FERRERE’s role consisted of conducting the Geopagos S.A. due diligence, with a team led by Santiago Fontana and Alejandra García, along with Isabel Hounie, Cecilia Alberti, Florencia Fitipaldo and María Eugenia Contreras.
