FERRERE’s corporate and regulatory team in Bolivia advised SmartFastPay on its launch in Bolivia, as part of its process of expansion in LATAM. With this, Bolivia joins its current operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru.
SmartFastPay is a Brazilian company offering methods and solutions for local payment processing for national and international websites, in addition to its involvement in the cryptoasset exchange market.
With this landing, the company expects to handle the local market’s significant demand for agile and, foremost, secure payment methods, in view of the growing threat of cyberattacks on international payment processing. Additionally, the lifting of the prohibition on cryptoasset transactions will allow the company to broaden the range of services originally planned for its users in Bolivia.
FERRERE’s work was headed up by the partner Diego Villarroel and the attorneys Santiago Rodríguez, Alejandra Vaca and José Rivero, who handled the regulatory viability analysis of the operations and led on corporate aspects for the company’s effective launch in the country.
Once the phase for installation and hiring personnel has been completed, the company aims to be a referent in the market, contributing to mitigating the difficulties faced today by local companies and individuals in international transactions and payments.
