Firm of the year in Ecuador and Firm of the year in Uruguay are only two of the five awards FERRERE received from International Financial Law Review (IFLR), the prestigious specialized publication, in its IFLR Americas Awards 2020.
The firm was also recognized in winning deals for the Banco Guayaquil securitization (Structured finance and securitization), and as Andean States Capital Markets Firm of the Year – National Firm Awards, for its Bolivia and Ecuador offices.
Among the IFLR individual awards, the attorney Federico Lemos was recognized as Rising Star.
Over several months the publication conducts research into the most innovative and important deals in the Americas, as well as the persons and teams behind them.
When asked about the relevance of the awards obtained, FERRERE’s regional managing partner, Agustín Mayer, underscored the firm’s ability to “continue making significant achievements, even during times of great difficulty and uncertainty for the region.” “They are very important recognitions that reflect the unity of our teams and the professionalism with which we build relationships with our clients,” he added.
Due to the COVID-19 health crisis the organization had to postpone its traditional awards event. Instead, it announced the results on its website.
