Martín Rosati works on domestic and international arbitrations, administered by the ICC, the PCA, ICSID and the Arbitration Center of the Uruguay Chamber of Commerce, in commercial and investment-related matters. He represents clients in the gas distribution business, construction conglomerates, and energy, mining and software companies, among others.
From mid-2016 to mid-2018, Martín worked as an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in New York, where he was involved in some of the most important disputes in South America. Between 2012 and 2015 he was part of FERRERE's Corporate and Arbitration teams, where he participated on the team that advised the main contractor of a pulp mill in an ICC arbitration with the project’s owner. The plant represents the largest foreign investment in the history of Uruguay.
He is Co-Executive Coordinator for the Diploma program in Arbitration at Universidad de Montevideo. He is professor of Contracts in the Common Law course at Universidad de Montevideo, where he also teaches different classes on arbitration. Martín is also representative for South America of the -40 Chapter of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club and sits on the Investment Arbitration Subcommittee of the International Bar Association.
