FERRERE is pleased to announce the promotion of Claudia Arietti and Montserrat Puente to counsel as of January 1, 2026. This decision not only reinforces leadership in strategic areas like corporate and finance law, intellectual property and regulatory matters, but also reflects our pledge to professional growth and promotion of talent within the organization.

FERRERE Paraguay’s managing director, Carlos Codas, noted: “We are extraordinarily proud to see the growth of our practitioners and to accompany them on this new challenge. Both of them earned this with their work, commitment and great dedication. It is satisfying to have watched them grow within the firm, and it confirms that we are on the right path, committing to talent, to recognition and to the growth of our team.”

Montserrat leads the Intellectual Property (IP) and Regulatory Law practice in Paraguay. She is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), where she actively participates on working committees.

She has over 15 years’ experience advising clients on portfolio management and trademark and patent prosecutions, and on complex IP matters. She also has extensive experience working with local regulatory authorities on marketing authorization issues and on regulatory aspects of distribution contracts, imports and exports.

Claudia, in turn, focuses primarily on corporate and financial transactions for local and international clients. She has experience advising multilateral entities, companies and financial institutions on matters related to foreign investments, commercial and distribution agreements, bilateral and syndicated credits, banking regulatory matters and securities markets.

She was a Fulbright grantee for her master’s studies at New York University, and obtained a fellowship under NYU’s International Finance and Development program at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Geneva. Claudia is also member of the board of directors of the Paraguayan Fulbright Association and chairs the board of directors of UWC Committee Paraguay.
