Once again, FERRERE obtained several nominations for the Chambers Latin America Awards 2024, organized by Chambers & Partners, one of the most renowned international legal publications.
Locally, the firm is a finalist for Firm of the Year in Paraguay and Uruguay. For Uruguay, FERRERE will be seeking the award for the fourth consecutive year, after winning in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions.
At regional level, FERRERE is nominated as “Outstanding Firm” for its consistent and coordinated work in pro-bono matters in its three jurisdictions.
In turn, two FERRERE professionals received individual nominations for their work in diversity and inclusion:
- Sebastián Ramos, partner of the Uruguay Banks and Finance team and co-leader of the firm's ESG practice, is a finalist in the “Outstanding Contribution” category, especially as the promoter of the Liberados project, which aims at the social and labor reinsertion of former prison inmates.
- Matías Chaves, lawyer of the Labor team in Paraguay, is a nominee in the “Future Leader” category, mainly for his influence and leadership in promoting actions contributing to gender equality and inclusion of people with disabilities at national level.
The awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in Miami on November 22, seek to acknowledge the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in the region, considering their excellence and innovation, both in the practice of law and in pro bono work, diversity and inclusion.
Nominations for the awards are based mainly on the results of the guide for Latin America prepared by Chambers, where FERRERE was recognized at regional level, featuring 36 professionals in 13 practice areas.
