FERRERE’s ESG practice partner, Sebastián Ramos, was spotlighted in the first edition of the “Green Ambassadors: Latin America” guide prepared by The Legal 500, one of the most prestigious legal publications.
The guide consists of a list of 27 attorneys at the forefront of the legal practice focusing on sustainability in the region, among whom Ramos is the only Uruguay practitioner. “These standout individuals, selected through extensive Green Guide research [along with Legal 500’s] , combine leading green transition mandates with driving change inside their firms and the wider market,” notes the Legal 500 publisher.
The publication values the combination of corporate, banking, finance and energy sector experience in advising multilateral organizations, investment funds and financial institutions, “on the financing of dozens of infrastructure and energy projects in the public and private sectors in Uruguay.” The Legal 500 also recognizes Ramos as an authority in the legal sector on ESG, value chain and sustainable agenda issues, and likewise highlights his position as secretary of the UN Global Compact in Uruguay.
In the latest edition of the Green Guide, FERRERE’s ESG practice in Uruguay and Paraguay was also highlighted by The Legal 500, which recognized the firm’s leadership position in legal matters relating to the green transition, conservation of ecosystems, sustainable finance and carbon markets.
