Cristina Vignone

Cristina Vignone is a member of FERRERE’s Corporate & Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. She leads the Environmental Law team and is also involved in Administrative and Regulatory Law.

Cristina Vignone is a member of FERRERE’s Corporate & Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. Her professional practice also involves Administrative and Regulatory Law.

On a day-to-day basis she assists corporate clients on negotiation and preparation of complex contracts and on regulatory and administrative matters with the government in different sectors such as forestry, energy, construction, advertising and technology. She also heads up due diligence work teams for acquisitions, corporate restructurings and mergers. 

For over twenty years Cristina Vignone has advised international corporations such as ExxonMobil, IBM, Tupperware, JCDecaux, Sabre, Weyerhaeuser and TYPSA in Uruguay. 

Cristina Vignone also leads the FERRERE Environmental Law team. She has conducted major due diligence procedures on environmental regulatory compliance, and regularly advises local and multinational companies on queries in this area. She was in charge of the Weyerhaeuser environmental due diligence procedure for the sale of its forestry operations in Uruguay for over USD 400 million. She is also a member of the Environmental Law Commission of the Uruguayan Bar Association.

She has authored various publications in her area. Her master’s thesis on Administrative Contracting Procedures was published as a book (co-authored).  For several years she was an instructor in Civil Private Law (Obligations and Contracts) at the Law School of Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and taught courses in Corporate Law at Universidad ORT (Uruguay).
