Eduardo Ammatuna is a partner at Ferrere Paraguay. He leads the fluvial practice at the firm’s Paraguay office, advising multinationals of the stature of Cargill, Seacor (Interbarge) and Trafigura (Impala) on their fluvial operations using the Paraguay-Paraná Riverway. This includes assistance on highly complex matters, such as regulatory processes related to authorization of companies as ship owners, obtaining and renewing all permits and licenses required to operate Paraguayan-flag river vessels, ship owner corporate restructurings, flag registry cessations, etc.
In corporate law he led the local team that assisted the L Catterton investment fund on acquisition of a stake in Rapsodia. He also regularly advises DSM Nutritional Products, Vida, Santa Juana Jersey and Seacor (Interbarge) on day-to-day corporate matters.
Eduardo has developed a practice in security businesses, assisting a major player in this area on the process of organizing in Paraguay and obtaining authorization as a private security company.
