Ericka Mendoza

Ericka’s practice focuses on Intellectual Property and she is a member of the corporate team. She has also accrued experience in defense and advice in civil and labor litigation.

In the intellectual property area she advises clients on registering and defending trademarks and patents, and on opposition, violation and cancelation processes. In the corporate area she participates in the corporate organizations, closings, dissolutions and liquidations, and general administrative matters. In her regulatory practice she participates in the analysis of applicable law for purposes of safeguarding the interests of clients vis-à-vis Bolivian oversight authorities such as AEMP, ATT, AJ, APS, AGEMED and SENASAG. On labor matters, her practice focuses on domestic and multinational corporations, including review of employment contracts, computation of severance and legally mandatory five-year bonuses. In immigration, she covers matters related to obtaining visas and regularization of immigration status.

Ericka has worked at the La Paz Electoral Court. She has been a speaker and rapporteur in International Arbitration Competitions, and has collaborated in local and international arbitration conferences. She is also an active member of academic and professional organizations, was a member of the university Scientific Law Society, and founding member of the Bolivian Association of Philosophy of Law (ABFD). She is also a member of the Bolivian Arbitration and Conciliation Institute (IBAC), the Ibero-American Association of Private Law (AIDP) and of the ABFD. Additionally, she has coauthored publications on the impact of COVID-19 on privacy law and has participated in the Libro Amarillo de Casos.

She graduated cum laude from Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” and holds a Diploma in Labor Law. She also competed a Training Program for Commercial Arbitrators at the National Chamber of Commerce of Bolivia.
