His professional practice focuses on advice to companies in connection with regulatory queries and planning of defense strategies vis-à-vis government authorities, including responses to notices, bringing administrative appeals and actions for nullity of administrative acts before the Administrative Claims Court.
In his work at the firm he has garnered experience in legal analyses under local law involving a variety of industries, primarily technology, entertainment, advertising and telecommunications.
He also participates actively in advising on contract issues, including drafting and reviewing civil and commercial contracts.
Joaquín is coauthor of publications on personal data protection and asset laundering, and has participated as representative of the School of Law of Universidad de la República (Uruguay) in international competitions on Human Rights and International Criminal Law.
He is currently a law intern with Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (IIDH) and the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL).
