Manfred Heyn is a senior associate at FERRERE in Asunción, Paraguay, and specializes in complex corporate and financial transactions.
He regularly advises on foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, joint ventures, commercial and distribution contracts, bilateral and syndicated loans, and securities issuance on local and foreign capital markets.
Manfred has advised financial institutions such as Citibank, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Itaú BBA, BBVA Securities, Santander, BNP Paribas, FMO, Rabobank, DEG, CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Inter-American Development Bank, and multinational companies as Roche, Grupo Bimbo, Unilever, Marriott, and Cargill.
From 2019 to 2021 he worked as an international attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he was involved in high profile cross-border corporate and financial transactions in Latin America, including debt issuance and restructuring, representing both sovereigns and private entities.
Before joining FERRERE, Manfred held several public service positions, both in the Judicial and the Executive branches of the Paraguayan Government.
