Her practice focuses on international dispute resolution. She regularly participates in international arbitration administered by ICC, CPA, CIIAM and ICDR, among others. She has experience representing local and multinational companies in complex arbitration proceedings, especially in commercial and corporate disputes, in construction, energy and other sectors.

She also has experience advising on tax, customs and general corporate matters for local clients and multinationals with operations in Uruguay, from their launching process to their day-to-day operations, as well as drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and implementation of company structures.

Since 2025 she has served as coach to the Universidad de Montevideo team in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She also conducts the Commercial Arbitration Workshop at Universidad de Montevideo, and taught Tax Law at Universidad ORT.

Martina has been Uruguay National Tax Reporter to the International Bar Association (IBA) since 2025 and was awarded a grant from the IBA Senior Lawyers’ Committee to attend the 2026 Annual Conference.

She won the Mario Kaminker Award from the Ibero-American Institute of Procedural Law for her article “The duty to provide reasons in arbitral awards: reflections based on the IIDP Model Law on Arbitration,” published in Revista Iberoamericana de Derecho Procesal (2025).

Martina studied Law at Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay) where she earned her degree as attorney in 2024, first in her class.
