Mathías Rojas is a member of the FERRERE Life Science team. He specializes in legal advice to companies in the pharmaceuticals industry, the food industry and pharmacy on regulatory aspects.

His practice focuses primarily on advice for obtaining company authorizations and permits, as well as other procedures related to arranging representations, registry transfers, regulatory advice on new structures and regulatory changes. He counsels clients on product advertising and labeling, as well as on structuring strategies for claims and defenses of client interests vis-à-vis regulatory authorities.

He has also participated in successful requests for access to public information, including advice to clients throughout full proceedings, responses to opportunities to view files, and initiation of legal actions for access to public information.

He advises Van Dam S.A. (Arcor), Nestlé del Uruguay S.A., Coboe S.A. (Farmashop), Abbott Laboratories Uruguay S.A., Murry S.A. (Scienza), Sanofi-Aventis Uruguay S.A., AbbVie S.A., GlaxoSmithKline Uruguay S.A. and Bayer S.A., among others.

He has authored and coauthored publications, including texts on actions for protection, especially in relation to drugs and Human Rights issues. He has participated as speaker in academic seminars on Civil Law and on Human Rights.

He´s professor of Business Law at Universidad ORT.
