Raquel Molina is a Bolivian attorney specializing in litigation, arbitration and administrative law, with experience at international firms and in academia.
She worked as an LLM Fellow (Law Clerk) at Rathbone Group, LLC, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she drafted legal documents for insurance litigation at state and federal levels, with emphasis of debt subrogation.
Prior to her experience in the United States, she was an associate at Dentons Guevara & Gutiérrez, where she advised local and multinational companies in sectors including oil & gas, construction, insurance, and finance. She participated in domestic arbitrations, including preparation of witnesses and experts, as well as in negotiations with government corporations.
In the academic sphere, Raquel is an adjunct professor at Universidad Privada Boliviana, where she has taught courses in Administrative Law and in Private International Law. She has also been assistant trainer for the 31st edition of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Raquel earned her degree in Law from Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” (summa cum laude, 2019), where she received the Academic Excellence Scholarship on four occasions. During her studies, she was distinguished as Outstanding Speaker at the 12th International Arbitration Competition in Asunción, Paraguay, and was a member of the university’s arbitration team at local and international competitions.
Subsequently she did an LL.M. in US Law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2024. She was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Grant for a project on transparency in international arbitration.
Raquel has published in the Kluwer Arbitration Blog and in Revista Digital Arbitraje Alumni, addressing key dispute resolution issues. She was also general editor of the UCB Law Review. She is cofounder of BOLIVYAP (Bolivia Very Young Arbitration Practitioners), an initiative promoting arbitration among young lawyers.
