At FERRERE Montevideo offices, on Wednesday, December 4, the firm will be hosting the first Compliance Latam Forum 2024, organized by the Compliance Latam network, which brings together the region’s leading firms in Compliance.

The event will address the latest trends and challenges in Compliance at regional level. In turn, the foremost industry leaders and experts in the practice area will share their experiences and good practices.

The event will also provide an excellent opportunity to establish a broad network of contacts, connecting with practitioners at law firms and in the public and private sectors throughout the region.

The event will have three main panels:

  • Transforming Compliance: innovation and good practices
  • Inhouse investigations: transforming challenges into opportunities
  • FCPA and effects of its application in the region’s countries

In addition to representatives of Compliance Latam member firms, representatives of the following companies will also be involved: Conmebol, Complif, Megalabs, Galileo Financial Technologies, UPM, d-Local and Corporación América Airports.

Carla Arellano, regional leader of the FERRERE Compliance practice, noted that “the event will be a highly enriching learning experience. Its design will not only permit in-depth analysis of current issues, but will also afford opportunities to get to know and exchange opinions with dozens of experts.”

The event is being organized by Compliance Latam, a platform whose purpose is to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of corporate good practices, organizational culture and regulation linked to Compliance. The community is led by outstanding law firms in the region and its members include compliance officers, legal managers, consultants, auditors and other relative actors in the Compliance ecosystem. FERRERE is one of the network’s founding firms, in addition to providing support on the logistics and coordination of this important event.
